Alex Bowman became the first driver to win consecutive Brickyard 400s at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, capturing the checkered flag in thrilling fashion.
Bowman, driving the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, held off Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott in a nail-biting final lap.
“This team’s incredible,” Bowman said. “To win here twice in a row is an unbelievable feeling.”
Bowman’s victory marked his 5th NASCAR Cup Series win of the season, solidifying his position as a championship contender.
