NEW: “ROGER FEDERER ANNOUNCES NEW TENNIS ACADEMY IN SWITZERLAND, INSPIRED BY HIS JOURNEY…

Zurich, Switzerland – March 15, 2025

Tennis legend Roger Federer has unveiled plans for the “Federer Tennis Academy,” a state-of-the-art training facility in his hometown of Basel, Switzerland.

“I want to give back to the sport that has given me so much,” Federer said. “This academy will provide young players with the same opportunities I had, and help them achieve their dreams.”

The academy, set to open in 2026, will feature:

1. 12 indoor and outdoor courts

2. Advanced training technology

3. Expert coaching staff

4. Scholarships for talented young players

Federer will be heavily involved, sharing his expertise and experiences with the next generation.

“Roger’s legacy extends far beyond his on-court achievements,” said ATP President, Andrea Gaudenzi. “This academy will inspire a new wave of tennis talent.”

Federer’s philanthropic efforts have already made a significant impact through his foundation, supporting education and children’s welfare initiatives.

Inaugural Event:

To launch the academy, Federer will host an exhibition match against rival and friend, Rafael Nadal, on July 17, 2025, at the St. Jakobshalle in Basel.
