**Georgia’s Secondary on the Brink: Can KJ Bolden Save the Day?**

 

The Georgia Bulldogs’ secondary has been a major concern all season, and with the team’s playoff hopes on the line, the spotlight is shining bright on cornerbacks coach Dan Lanning and his crew. The unit has struggled to contain opponents’ passing attacks, and it’s put a heavy burden on the shoulders of star cornerback KJ Bolden.

“I’m not worried about KJ,” Lanning said in a recent interview. “He’s a talented player who has worked hard to get to this point. The question is, can we get enough help for him around him? Can we get our safeties making plays? Can we get our linebackers making plays? We need everyone to step up and be accountable.”

 

For Georgia to have any chance of beating Florida, its secondary will have to be near flawless. Bolden will have to be everywhere at once, making plays on the ball and communicating effectively with his teammates. It’s a tall order, but if anyone can do it, it’s him.

 

“The key is just to stay focused and stay disciplined,” Bolden said. “We can’t let them get the best of us. We’ve got to be physical and play with heart. If we do that, I think we’ll be just fine.”

 

It remains to be seen whether Bolden and the Bulldogs’ secondary can rise to the challenge and make enough plays to secure a win against Florida. One thing is certain, though: it won’t be easy.
