BRUINS LOOK TO REBOUND AFTER HOLIDAY BREAK AND COMPETE WITH…
BOSTON, MA – The Boston Bruins are set to return to action on December 27, facing off against the Columbus Blue Jackets after the holiday break. The team is looking to rebound from a string of lackluster performances, including blown leads and slow starts.
According to sources within the organization, the Bruins have been working tirelessly to address these issues during the break. “We’ve been focusing on our defensive zone coverage and our ability to close out games,” said head coach Jim Montgomery. “We’re confident that with a few adjustments, we can get back to playing the kind of hockey that we know we’re capable of.”
The Bruins will be without the services of star forward David Pastrnak, who is still nursing an upper-body injury. However, the team is expected to get a boost from the return of defenseman Derek Forbort, who has been sidelined with a lower-body injury.
The matchup against the Blue Jackets is expected to be a tough one, with Columbus currently sitting in second place in the Metropolitan Division. However, the Bruins are confident that they can come out on top if they can play a complete game.
“We know that we have the talent and the depth to compete with anyone in the league,” said Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron. “It’s just a matter of putting it all together and playing the kind of hockey that we know we’re capable of.”
Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM ET at TD Garden. The game will be broadcast on NESN and can be streamed on the NHL app.
