JUST IN:AARON JUDGE SIGNS RECORD-BREAKING CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH YANKEES OVER…
New York, NY – November 20, 2024
The New York Yankees have agreed to a historic 10-year, $450 million contract extension with superstar outfielder Aaron Judge, sources confirmed today.
The deal, which locks Judge in through the 2034 season, includes a $50 million annual salary and a $20 million signing bonus.
“Aaron is a cornerstone of our franchise,” said Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman. “We’re thrilled to secure his future in pinstripes.”
Judge, 32, is coming off a remarkable 2023 season, where he hit .311 with 65 home runs and 145 RBIs, leading the Yankees to their 28th World Series title.
“I’m grateful to the Steinbrenner family and the entire Yankees organization for this incredible opportunity,” Judge said. “I’m excited to continue chasing championships in the Bronx.”
The contract surpasses Mike Trout’s 12-year, $426.5 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels as the largest in MLB history.
Judge’s agent, Scott Boras, praised the Yankees’ commitment. “This deal reflects Aaron’s immense value to the team and his status as one of baseball’s elite players.”
The Yankees will hold a press conference tomorrow to officially announce the signing.
