LOS ANGELES, CA – DECEMBER 18, 2024
In a heartwarming display of generosity, the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, co-founded by Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bassist Flea, has received a $1 million donation from an anonymous benefactor.
The donation, which was made earlier this week, will go towards supporting the conservatory’s music education programs for underprivileged youth in the Los Angeles area.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for this incredible gift,” said Flea, who co-founded the conservatory in 2001. “This donation will allow us to continue providing music education to those who need it most, and we are forever grateful to our anonymous benefactor.”
The Silverlake Conservatory of Music has been providing free music lessons and instruments to thousands of students in the Los Angeles area for over two decades. The conservatory’s programs have been widely praised for their positive impact on the community, and this donation will help ensure their continued success.
