Just In:Kevin Costner Launches Environmental Foundation So….

SANTA BARBARA, CA – January 10, 2025

Acclaimed actor and director Kevin Costner has launched the “Horizon Preservation Foundation,” dedicated to protecting and preserving America’s natural landscapes.

“I’ve always been passionate about the environment,” Costner said. “This foundation will support initiatives protecting our nation’s most vulnerable ecosystems.”

Initial focus areas include:

1. Coastal conservation in California and Alaska

2. Wildlife preservation in Yellowstone National Park

3. Sustainable agriculture programs in the Great Plains

The foundation has already partnered with notable organizations, including the Nature Conservancy and the World Wildlife Fund.

“Kevin’s commitment to environmental stewardship is inspiring,” said Nature Conservancy President, Sally Jewell.

Costner has pledged $1 million in initial funding and plans to raise additional support through fundraising events and awareness campaigns.
