HAMAMATSU, JAPAN – March 15, 2023

Suzuki Motor Corporation announced today that Kevin Schwantz, the 1993 Superbike World Champion, has rejoined the company as a brand ambassador.

“Kevin’s passion and expertise will help drive Suzuki’s global racing efforts,” said Suzuki’s President, Toshihiro Suzuki.

Schwantz, 59, will work closely with Suzuki’s racing teams, sharing his knowledge and experience to develop future champions.

“I’m thrilled to rejoin the Suzuki family,” Schwantz said. “This partnership will allow me to give back to the sport I love.”

– Suzuki’s global racing marketing campaigns

– Special edition GSX-R models honoring Schwantz’s legacy

Schwantz’s legendary Suzuki GSX-R750, which he rode to multiple championships, will be displayed at Suzuki’s headquarters.

“Kevin’s impact on Suzuki’s racing heritage is immeasurable,” said Suzuki’s Racing Director, Shinichi Sahara.

Schwantz will make his first appearance as Suzuki’s brand ambassador at the upcoming MotoGP round in Austin, Texas.
