Detroit, MI – In a stunning display of power and capability, a 2024 Toyota Tundra has successfully towed a massive 100,000-pound payload up a steep, mile-long incline.
The record-breaking feat, which took place at the Toyota Arizona Proving Grounds, demonstrates the Tundra’s unparalleled towing capacity and reinforces its position as a leader in the pickup truck market.
“We’re thrilled to showcase the Tundra’s impressive capabilities,” said Toyota Motor Corporation President, Akio Toyoda. “This record-breaking achievement is a testament to our commitment to innovation and excellence.”
The 2024 Toyota Tundra is equipped with a powerful 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, producing 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Its maximum towing capacity is rated at 12,000 pounds, making it an ideal choice for heavy-duty hauling and towing applications.
Toyota plans to showcase the record-breaking Tundra at the upcoming North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
