Turquoise Erving, wife of NBA legend Julius “Dr. J” Erving, has been recognized for her tireless philanthropic efforts.

The Philadelphia Community Foundation awarded Turquoise the prestigious “Humanitarian of the Year” award.

“Turquoise’s dedication to education, healthcare, and family services inspires us all,” said foundation CEO, Sarah Martinez.

Turquoise’s charitable initiatives include:

2. Philadelphia Youth Empowerment Network (board member)

3. American Cancer Society (volunteer)
